Chris Gray

Chris Gray is a singer-songwriter from the Isle of Man with a great love of creating original music and playing live; both as a solo acoustic artist and with his band. Chris creates heartfelt melodies with dynamic folk overtones and engaging lyrics. He has opened shows for Roger Daltrey, Peter Green, Feeder, Status Quo, The Charlatans, Simon Townshend and Turin Brakes. Chris came to Producer Tony Lowe to record ‘Waterloo Sunset’ for the Pete Quaife Foundation and as a result, Dorset based Sunn Creative label signed Chris Gray releasing his new EP, ‘Don’t Lose Your Way’ on October 2013 with a forthcoming new album release set for summer, 2014. Influenced by bands such as The Beatles, The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac and Bob Dylan, Chris feels “It’s an honour to have been asked to be a part of this project for such a brilliant cause. The Kinks are so important musically, not just in the UK but world-wide. I remember listening to The Kinks and The Beatles when I started learning the guitar, so many fantastic songs and great memories. I have chosen to cover the beautiful ‘Waterloo Sunset’ as it’s my all-time favourite Kinks song; I hope I did it justice!”
